Retina shock and a theme toggle

Ok so the bright theme on this site after hours of dev with dim lighting, a dark theme GUI, a dark terminal, and a dark VS Code is obnoxious. I opened it to make an edit and got blasted in the eyeballs. Not nice.

So I did the reasonable thing and added a light to dark theme toggle that detects your system preference. If you are like me working on a giant screen with mood lighting, your retinas are welcome. I still wanted contrast with the Control OS site, and I know a lot of people prefer reading long form in a light theme with a serif, so I went that direction.

It is going to take me a bit to get in the flow of writing decent updates. I have accepted that early posts will be rough. I have also been procrastinating on sharing anything outside of publishing it here, but I will likely set up RSS to distribute posts across platforms. I cannot stand social media, though, and the internet feels like a septic tank more often than not. If you comment and I do not respond, it is not you, it is the machine.
